Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) is a promising renewable energy technology that the most economical at large scale. But contemporary literature does not address how OTEC could reach such scale with current technology, and what techno-economic impact of location-dependent factors technological learning are. This paper tackles these issues by simulating OTEC's upscaling model implements to meet local electricity demand extrapolates global relevance OTEC. The uses rate for investment costs cost finance. study shows up 45 GW capacity can be installed in Indonesia national coverage 22% 2050.
